Jake Delhomme:
New Browns
quarterback Jake Delhomme was introduced to the Cleveland area in a press conference
today. Among the points he made was that it's his understanding that the Browns will run
the same offense as last year with perhaps a little West Coast-style things added.

Holmgren, Mangini explain moves
In a nearly
hourlong question-and-answer session with the media, new Browns President Mike Holmgren

Delhomme is 'the leader
My own belief is this team needs an
aging veteran, Browns President Mike Holmgren said of the signing of veteran QB Jake
Delhomme. They need a guy whos going to grab everybody by the throat and say
follow me through that door. So I dont look at him as an aging veteran. I look at
him as the leader that I would want in the locker room if, in fact, hes
the starter.

Browns under construction, again
- Don't think Holmgren, who ripped apart the Seahawks'
roster after settling into the Seattle job in the late 1990s, is done at quarterback. Jake
Delhomme and Seneca Wallace are caretakers until Holmgren develops a young quarterback
from this year's draft. Drafting seventh, Holmgren would have to trade up to get Sam
Bradford or Jimmy Clausen. Bradford probably will go No. 1, so the Browns would have to
target the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' pick at No. 3 to jump ahead of the Redskins for Clausen.

Quinn's exclusive interview
* (On his love affair with Browns
fans)"I had a wonderful time in Cleveland and I say that because of the fans -- the
fans were so great and everyone was so welcoming and loyal to me. Even though I battled
through some tough times, I think the fans stuck with me and I can't thank them enough for
all of their support.''

Wimbley dealt to Oakland
Kamerion
Wimbley was the best pass rusher on a Browns team seemingly always lacking in that
fundamental part of the game.
That didn't stop the Browns from trading Wimbley to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday for a
third-round pick in this year's draft.
