Justin Fargas visited today

Free agent running back Justin Fargas, released last week by the Raiders, visited the Browns today, the club confirmed. There was no word yet on whether or not the team will sign him.

What is Quinn's trade value?

The Cleveland Browns cut former Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Anderson this week, but it appears the team may not be finished. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Brady Quinn's name is coming up in trade talks as well.

QB Jake Delhomme will visit

In Cleveland, Delhomme would most likely come in to challenge for the starting job. ESPN is reporting today that the Browns are shopping Brady Quinn, although a league source told The Plain Dealer that the Browns have not actively tried to trade anyone.

D.A. blasts Browns fans

"The fans are ruthless and don't deserve a winner," Anderson wrote Tuesday in a terse e-mail when asked for a reaction to being released. "I will never forget getting cheered when I was injured.

"I know at times I wasn't great. I hope and pray I'm playing when my team comes to town and (we) roll them."

Wallace has the tools

"He's accurate, he's decisive, he's got a strong arm and drives defenses crazy because he's very mobile," a league source said of Wallace.

Browns deal for QB Wallace

Wallace, 29, is expected to come in as a backup, meaning the Browns could still deal for a starter. But Wallace can play other positions, including receiver and returner.

Troy Smith wants to be a Brown

“He would crawl from Baltimore right now to be able to play in Cleveland,” Smith’s agent Ralph Cindrich said in a phone interview. “That’s clearly where his heart is. That’s where his love is. He has a great relationship in Baltimore and with the fans as long as I don’t muck it up too much. He has a great relationship with (Baltimore General Manager) Ozzie Newsome.
